ArrowXL pledges to rebuild destroyed Worcester hub after last week’s fire

DeliveryX

ArrowXL says it will be back to normal business from today, after moving its warehousing operation from Worcester to a site in Chepstow until further notice. It comes after the company’s Worcester hub at Blackpole was destroyed by a fire on 20 April 2017 as we reported last week.
The company’s warehousing staff will be transported by ArrowXL to and from Chepstow, whilst the delivery operation will still be based at Worcester.

ArrowXL, which has been operating in Worcester since 1994, said it remained committed to the area and will explore options to rebuild the Worcester site over the next two years.

“A huge amount of praise and thanks goes to our dedicated workforce for their amazing support and patience at this challenging time,” said Charlie Shiels, chief operating officer at ArrowXL.

“Together, we are looking to the future in Worcester and everyone is fully determined to get back to ‘business as usual’ as soon as possible.

“Equally, we’d like to take this opportunity to say a very special thank you to the emergency services for such as fantastic job over the last few days, and to our clients and their customers for their support and understanding, which is greatly appreciated.”

ArrowXL’s Worcester hub is one of a national network of four hubs, 17 satellite bases and 230 highly trained delivery teams on the road six days a week.
