DeliveryX

This Thursday [13 October] visitors to ChannelX World – the event for marketplace experts – will hear from B&Q’s Alex Chatterton, marketplace business development manager, as part of the operations stream of the packed conference.

If you sell DIY or stock related product verticals and want to discover how to sell on diy.com, then don’t miss this session when Chatterton will sit down to reveal how B&Q can support businesses with their newest sales channel, Marketplace.

B&Q, part of Kingfisher plc, are the UK’s leading home improvement and garden living retailer, helping customers have smarter homes since 1969. Now you can be part of their business, where 20 million people shop each year, through their marketplace.

“At B&Q, we’re focused on improving shopping experiences for our customers to make shopping with us even more convenient,” said Graham Bell CEO, B&Q.

“Around 85% of our customers’ shopping journeys start online. With the launch of marketplace, customers can now access an even bigger choice of home improvement products online, with the convenient option to return many products at their local store, with Click + Collect options coming in time.

“Marketplaces are a rapidly growing retail phenomenon around the world and we’re excited by the potential this model brings in combination with the convenience of our fulfilment capabilities. The unique multichannel combination of this online marketplace, along with our network of 300 stores, means we can offer customers a level of choice, speed and convenience that pure play retailers cannot match.”

B&Q joins a host of speakers from some of the UK and Europe’s top retailers including LK Bennett, Emma Bridgewater, Eve Sleep and Debenhams.

Marketplace industry giants Amazon, eBay and TikTok will provide the morning keynote, covering how both consumer buying habits and retail have changed. With the closing keynote coming from Tom Flintoff, head of marketplaces, international ecommerce at M&S.

Mirakl, GFS, Fruugo, Wish, Luzern, and export partner the Department for International Trade will also be at the event.

Furthermore, RetailX’s latest research the European Marketplaces 2022 report will be presented, it is available to pre-register for now. The detailed report looks at the Top 15 marketplaces by traffic from Europe to assess their performance for RetailX’s Elite, Leading and Top 500 brands across three key dimensions:

Alongside the conference there will be an exhibition, workshops, one-to-one meetings and networking drinks making this the biggest marketplace and channel event in the UK.
