DX (Group) has opened two new depots in the West Midlands and the South West of England as it continues its expansion.
Both will serve the group’s DX Freight division, which specialises in the delivery of irregular dimension and weight (“IDW”) items.

The South West new depot is located on Bodmin Business Park and will service distribution across Cornwall. The new West Midlands depot is located on Severn Stars Industrial Estate in Coventry.

As a result of the new openings DX’s freight operations at Nuneaton, where the group’s Express division also operates, have transferred to the Coventry depot.

DX (Group) has recently completed a two-year capital investment programme worth £10 million, which saw significant investment in both new and existing sites. A second programme of investment worth up to £25 million over the next three years has now been launched. The investment will see the addition of 12 further depots over the next two years as well as further investment in parcel-handling equipment and IT infrastructure.

Lloyd Dunn, CEO of DX (Group) plc, said: “The sites in Bodmin and Coventry add further capacity and will help to enhance customer service levels. Investment in the depot network will continue to be a major focus this year, as we continue to drive the business forward, supported by our £20 million – £25 million capital investment programme.”
