Editorial: How to hit bullseye and find your perfect partner

DeliveryX

Yesterday Valentine’s Day was a reminder of how good things can be when you choose the right partner. Things just work. In a timely opinion piece this week we look at how to work out whether the relationship with your delivery partner is the right one. The piece looks at the five qualities you need to look for to ensure a relationship lasts.
Of course if the partnership isn’t quite right then what do you do? You could just stick it out and see what happens but guess what? Much like a relationship it won’t work unless you try to fix it and if it really is broken it’s time to move on. Many online sellers worry that changing logistics partner could be a big headache. Truth is it needn’t be. In another opinion piece this week we look at how to manage the change to ensure that all goes smoothly and how to introduce a new partner into your business.

One company looking to expand its partners is Parcelly. The click and collect business has ambitious plans for this year and in an interview with CEO and founder Sebastian Steinhauser we find out more about what’s in store for the company and how and why the company was set up in the first place.

Naturally when it comes to innovation and ambitious plans few can beat the master – Amazon. The company recently expanded on its plans for an Amazon Prime Air cargo plane hub. But is it the right move? Jonathan Bellwood of Peoplevox argues perhaps not.

Enabling global reach is key for any business as cross-border trade continues to grow. To better enable this FedEx Express has launched a new Southern Europe gateway in Italy to cope with such growth.

Remember how we started this editorial with news of finding the right partner? In our final story this week we learn how Marco Polo has expanded a relationship it first began in 2010 with partner Arvato SCM Solutions.

Don’t forget – make sure you have the right partner and if you don’t then be brave. Perhaps it’s time to exit the relationship and look for your perfect partner instead.
