Fashion retailer French Connection has entered into a five year, $40m inbound logistics contract with retail supply chain company MIQ Logistics.
It will cover international and domestic end-to-end supply chain management – including pick and distribution to retail channels – plus global visibility and supply chain status of inventory to SKU level.
French Connection is a Top 100 retailer in the InternetRetailing IRUK Top 500. Earlier this year, it said 23% of revenues are now generated by ecommerce, and almost half of all online orders were placed via a mobile device.
In addition to managing the international transport of all product, covering all freight modes, MIQ Logistics will also assume responsibility for providing global visibility of all SKUs and management of the primary 150,000 sq ft French Connection UK DC in Purfleet, Essex.
The Purfleet DC will also be home to Long Tall Sally, another fashion retailer, which will have its own dedicated part of the warehouse.
In addition, MIQ Logistics will manage inventory from international French Connection factories across Asia, India, Turkey, Romania and Poland through to their European and North American stores, and to wholesalers in a further 50 countries.
