Homewares retailer Habitat has today launched a click and collect service that will enable its shoppers to collect more than 3,000 small item online purchases from one of more than 2,300 locations.
The new service follows a major upgrade of the company’s website 18 months ago and will enable shoppers to pick up from more than 2,300 DPD Pickup collection sites, including more than 200 Sainsbury’s stores as well as Habitat’s own stores in London, Leeds and Edinburgh. More than 60% of Habitat’s sales originate online.
Clare Askem, managing director for Habitat, said the new service made ‘sound business sense’ in the need to provide more convenient delivery options for its shoppers. “Our customers increasingly want speed, flexibility and choice and our aim is to develop the Habitat brand into a multi-channel business for the digital age, more accessible to an increasingly online customer base and to provide a flexible delivery proposition that works around modern life,” she said.
