H&M offers low-carbon delivery across Netherlands

DeliveryX

H&M has introduced a new low carbon, customisable parcel delivery service in the Netherlands.
The service from Swedish courier Budbee allows customers to specify the delivery time of the order themselves and track the package in real time. The parcels are delivered in the evening, helping the courier to achieve 98% success on the first delivery attempt.

The service will be available across the Netherlands. The deliveries are completely fossil-free in 30 cities, with Budbee aiming to extend this to 100% of its service by the end of the year.

Susan Krau, country manager at H&M Netherlands, said: “With a growing online market, transport is an important point of attention for H&M.

“We are always looking at how we can offer our customers the best and most sustainable services.”

Jørgen Höppener, GM Netherlands at Budbee, said: “At Budbee we have the vision that we are moving towards a model in which the consumer chooses with which parcel service their package is delivered.

“More and more people want to decide for themselves that their package is delivered in a climate-neutral way, or for example at a specific time in the evening. In this way, delivery services remain sharp at all times to innovate and improve.”
