Commuters across Greater Manchester will be able to collect parcels from 28 lockers installed across the bus and Metrolink network, following a new partnership between InPost and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
With 99 Metrolink stops, TfGM is the second largest local transport network in the UK after the London Underground, with over 5.6 million journeys made across the network each day. The partnership, which supports TfGM’s green initiative to reduce carbon output, has seen 13 parcel lockers already deployed with more to come before the end of the year and in 2023.
Available 24/7, the new lockers will provide a convenient and easily accessible way for people to pick up or return parcels quickly and easily as part of their daily commute across the TfGM network.
The collaboration said this gives control back to consumers, saving them both time and hassle by putting an end to long queues on lunch breaks, waiting to return and send parcels. With Christmas rapidly approaching, the new partnership is set to bring extra convenience to commuters over the festive season.

InPost added it is committed to providing consumers with a genuinely convenient and substantially improved ecommerce experience, while also contributing to positive environmental change and climate neutral cities. As part of this, the business is working towards net zero targets by 2040. InPost has over 4,000 lockers spread across the UK that can be found at convenience boosting locations such as train stations, supermarkets, retail parks and petrol forecourts.
