DeliveryX

Delivery companies ArrowXL and Whistl have both announced new responsibilities and recruits as they look to the next stage of growth.
At two-man delivery specialist ArrowXL the company has promoted Peter Scraton, previously people director at the firm, to the role of operations director. Meanwhile James Robbins, who is CIO at the company will take over responsibility for the customer contact centre while CFO Paul Cullingford will assume responsibility for procurement,

ArrowXL CEO Charlie Shiels said: “I have absolute confidence that Peter will continue to drive further operational improvements. We remain focused on creating a world-class logistics business and we will continue to drive forward with our ambitious plans.”

At Whistl the company has announced the appointment of James Hayes as the director of business development at Parcelhub, the business it acquired earlier this year. He joins the company from Parcel Station, a parcel delivery management company he co-founded in 2010. He will report into Mark Rosenberg, managing director of Parcelhub.

Nick Wells, CEO Whistl, said: “We are delighted to bring James into the team as part of our ongoing investment in the Parcelhub business as we continue to broaden its capabilities across the UK.”

Parcelhub provides eCommerce shipping and fulfilment, and multi-carrier shipping and ecommerce customer service solutions for small to medium sized e-tailers who cannot access large-scale discounts available to large volume mailers.
