Tesco’s 60-minute delivery service, Whoosh, will be available across 800 UK stores by the end of February.

The supermarket initially launched Whoosh in May 2021 and expanded to 600 locations in 2022. Despite being an hourly service, more than 90% of Whoosh orders arrive within half that time with just 1% out-with the 60 minutes, figures released in October revealed.

Alessandra Bellini, chief customer officer for Tesco, said: “We want to help the nation avoid disappointing dinners and lacklustre lunches. Whatever they need, Whoosh can deliver in as little as 30 minutes.”

Around 80 items, including everyday essentials, fruit and vegetables, breakfast basics, alcohol, evening meals and Tesco’s finest, are available for the rapid delivery offering.

Delivery costs £2.99 with deliveries between 30 – 60 minutes. Customers using Whoosh can enjoy all the usual benefits of shopping at Tesco, with Clubcard members collecting Clubcard points on their shop and enjoying money off with Clubcard Prices.

The grocer has partnered with Uber Eats and last mile company Stuart to ensure the quick delivery of its Whoosh offering.
