US same-day delivery company Deliv has launched Deliv Fresh, a new service for grocery, meal services and other perishable goods ecommerce retailers in the US. Customers already include FoodKick by FreshDirect, GetFedNYC, GreenBlender, Plated, BloomThat, The Cheese Store of Silverlake, Plum Market and Eataly Chicago.
As they look to address the growing online grocery market – which is expected to account for as much as 20% all grocery sales by 2025, retailers are looking either at marketplaces such as Instacart and Amazon Prime Now, to deliver their goods and take ownership of the customer transaction, or are investing in same-day delivery from their own branded sites but powered by last mile companies such as Deliv. Retailers’ stores are used as local distribution centres and delivery hubs in the latter model.
“We’ve spent the last five years building the network for last mile logistics across the country,” said Daphne Carmeli, Deliv CEO and co-founder. “Industries like grocery that didn’t have cost-effective delivery options are now able to tap into our network and offer a fresh customer experience,” she said.

Deliv is a crowdsourced, last mile logistics company that powers scheduled, same-day delivery and returns for 4000+ businesses. It currently operates in 18 markets and more than 100 cities and is backed by United Parcel Service.
